Si vous aviez trouvé Cauldron Bog impressionnant (et c'était mon avis), il n'aura l'air que d'une simple concept comparé à Grief Ascension. Les paysages dessinés dans ce deuxième opus sont vastes : ils sont si vastes que vous vous sentirez vite perdus. Jouées en trémolos, toutes les notes s'étendent sur de très longues secondes ; le brouillard tombe sur le marais et suivre les mélodies devient une épreuve mentale. Mais derrière la monotonie, ce black metal atmosphérique a une dimension épique !
